Vivo, Samsung, Oppo, Mi, LG – Think of smartphone brands under 20-22k in India, and there are too many brands to count. In fact, if you spend a tad more, you can even get an iPhone 6 32gb. What’s even more interesting is the range of devices that are being launched. Some are promoted for great hardware, while others are sold for incredible cameras. So, where does Vivo V7 Plus fit in? To be fair, somewhere in between. Priced at ₹21990, Vivo V7 Plus is a great phone in more ways than one. Here’s a quick look at the features.

What’s new?

Vivo V7 Plus is the first device from the brand to get an 18:9 aspect ratio display. Only a handful of models come with such display, and it does add to the viewing experience. The device also runs on Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box featuring Funtouch OS, which is a great thing for Vivo fans who wanted stock Android experience or at least something close to it. V7 Plus also comes with Smart Split 3.0, which allows users to use and view two apps at the same time.

Hardware, battery and more

Let’s start with the build quality, which is kind of disappointing. Yes, this phone has a plastic back, and although Vivo has tried to give a metal feel, you would expect a full-metal body at this price. Nevertheless, the device doesn’t feel flimsy at all at160.00 grams, and from afar, you cannot tell much about the plastic body. In terms of hardware, the 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor is pretty good, and you also have 4 GB of RAM, which is an obvious for the range. Onboard memory is 64 GB, but you can expand the same to 256GB via a microSD card. It runs on a 3225mAh non-removable battery, which is not bad at all, but the charger doesn’t have support for fast charging and is usually large.

Camera and more

The 24 MP camera on the front is extremely good to say the least, and even in low lighting, you won’t have any issues. Also, there is a LED flash if needed. On the rear, you have a 16 MP camera, which doesn’t work as good as the front shooter, but is better than many other cameras on other devices at this price. This is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) phone.

Finally, if you are someone who loves to click photos along the way, Vivo V7 Plus is just what you need. This doesn’t promise big things about hardware or display, but camera-wise, the phone offers exactly what’s promised and that’s probably not bad. Check online now to get a discount on Vivo V7 Plus!
